Minneapolis/St. Paul - Sept. 26, 2018 - Team USA Minnesota's Heather Kampf and Breanna Sieracki will compete at two upcoming races, including the Navy Mile in Washington D.C. on Sept. 30 and the TC 5k in St. Paul on Oct. 6.  For Kampf, the races are a return to competition after a year off for a lingering injury.  Sieracki will continue racing after launching her fall season at the Minnesota Mile on Sept. 7.

The Navy Mile, which kicks off the U.S. Navy's birthday week and is presented by USAA, will be held on Pennsylvania Avenue this Sunday.  The fourth edition of the race is also the final stop on the 2018 Bring Back The Mile Grand Prix Tour.  The event features a number of mile heats from 7:00-10:45 a.m. (Eastern) with the final two heats contested by female and male elite runners.

Kampf, who is a four-time National Champion in the road mile, has a best of 4:19 in the distance, while Sieracki has run 4:46.

Back in the Twin Cities on Oct. 6, the duo will run in the TC 5k, presented by Fredrikson & Byron.  The race, which is part of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon weekend, begins at 8:45 a.m.  It starts and finishes on the State Capitol Grounds in St. Paul.

Sieracki returns to the TC 5k to defend her title from last year - she has a best of 16:10 - while Kampf will be moving up in distance to run the 5k.
