Gabriele Grunewald, Heather Kampf to Compete at New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston Feb. 8; Kampf Wins Camel City 800m Race
Minneapolis/St. Paul - Feb. 5, 2014 - Team USA Minnesota's Gabriele Grunewald and Heather Kampf will be among the competitors at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston on Feb. 8. Grunewald will run in the New Balance Women's Two Mile race and Kampf will be in the Women's 1000 meters.
The indoor meet will be held at the Reggie Lewis Center on the campus of Roxbury Community College starting at 3 p.m. (Eastern time). The 1000m race will be held at 5:07 p.m. and the Two Mile at 5:48 p.m. The event will be shown live on the NBC Sports Network from 4:30-6:00 p.m. and coverage will also be available from 3:45-4:30 p.m. at usatf.tv.
Grunewald most recently competed on Jan. 25 at the Glasgow British Athletics International Match in Scotland as a member of the U.S. team and finished second in the 1500m. She has a best of 4:01.48 in the 1500m and has posted8:43.52 in the 3000m.
Kampf won the 800 meter race at the Camel City Elite Races in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Feb. 1. She has a best in the 1500m of 4:08.37.
Also at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix will be Team USA Minnesota Board member Lance Elliott who will compete in the Men's Masters Mile at 3:10 p.m.
