Minneapolis/St. Paul - Aug. 25, 2010 - Team USA Minnesota's Antonio Vega will be among the competitors at the USA Men's 10 Mile Championship, which will be held in conjunction with the Crim Festival of Races on Aug. 28.  The Flint, Mich., event is in its 34th year and attracts some 16,000 participants to its 10 mile, 8k, 5k and 1 Mile races.

Vega is the 2010 USA Half Marathon Champion where he set a personal best time of 1:01:54.  In other championship races this year, he finished eighth at the USA Cross Country Championship, third at the USA 15k Championships in a personal best time of 43:55, and fourth at the USA 7 Mile Championships in 33:08.  He also posted a PR at the 2010 Boston Marathon which he ran in 2:13:47, and he finished eighth at the Falmouth 7 Mile Road Race in a time of 32:53.

The 10 Mile race begins in downtown Flint at 8 a.m. and will be streamed live at www.runnerspace.com.  The championship is part of the USA Running Circuit, which Vega is currently leading on the men's side.
