Notes:
Chris is from Fremont, Wis., and is a 2005 graduate of New London High School where he was an All-American in both cross country and track. He placed third in the 2-mile run at the 2005 Nike Outdoor Nationals, and was a two-time state track champion winning both the 1600 and 3200-meter races as senior. He also set a state 3200-meter record of 8:57.73, was a two-time Wisconsin Division I state cross country champion, and placed fifth in the 2004 Foot Locker Nationals.
At the University of Minnesota, Chris was a six-time All-American, including three times in cross country and three times in track. He was the 2006 Big Ten Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year and a 2006 Big Ten Cross Country Champion. In 2008, he won the Big Ten Outdoor 10,000m title and in 2010, he placed second in both the 5000m and 10,000m at the Big Ten Championships. He also competed at both the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championships and Outdoor Championships. On the roads, he competed at the 2009 USA Men’s 10 Mile Championship and placed 10th.
In 2011, Chris began his outdoor track campaign with a personal best of 13:42.05 in the 5000m at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Chris joined Team USA Minnesota in the summer of 2010.
